Privacy policy
This policy describes what Codex Limits accesses and what it does not collect.
Summary
Codex Limits is a local macOS utility. It reads usage information from local Codex session files stored on the user's Mac in order to display remaining usage in the menu bar and detailed popup.
Data access
The app may request read-only access to the user's hidden ~/.codex folder. In the Mac App Store version, this access is granted by the user through a standard macOS folder picker and stored as a local security-scoped bookmark.
Data collection
Codex Limits does not operate a remote backend for analytics, advertising, account tracking, or profile building. The app does not upload Codex session files to 3nicom servers.
Stored information
The app stores only local preferences required for operation, such as launch-at-login state, sound preferences, and the bookmark needed to reopen the selected ~/.codex folder.
Third-party services
The app itself does not require a separate third-party login. The underlying Codex data originates from the user's existing local Codex installation and usage.
